Thank you for your question. Believe it or not, your question is a common one. That common thread validates what I have felt for a long time that the "supernatural" that you refer to in your email is not "super" but just plain old natural. We are all capable of feeling energy if we are open to it. I feel we are born intuitive and sensitive to energy.
Instead of thinking that the "Energy" is following you, perhaps you are aware of energy period. So, you are not sensing an energy that is following you but rather picking up on the NEW energy around you.
So It is Natural that you feel what you feel ( and I think that is super!)

Dear Angelina,
My son Mark died three years ago at the age of 32. I was devastated and am still grieving for him.
Although my loss is still painful, I am active in grief support groups and I am a hospice volunteer.
My question is this. About six months after my son died, I had readings with three reputable mediums. Some of the discussion was contact with Mark. There was some information given to me that a medium could not have known. Other information could have been obtained by an internet search.
How do I know if any of this is valid?
If these mediums are preying on people, it is a very sick, cruel thing.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sadly, in any field, there are some practitioners doing the work for the wrong reasons. You, as a sitter, must be armed with the knowledge of how an ethical practitioner works.
Please check out my page on ethics of a Metaphysical Practitioner. It is a basic outline on how a metaphysical Practitioner should consider presenting spirit communication. If you go into a reading with a medium with the understanding of how they work, you protect yourself from being scammed. If you understand how a medium work and develops, the residual affect will be that you will start to spark your own intuition and not have to rely on a medium as much.
Ethical Medoimship
I have always maintained that a mediums main responsibility is to demonstrate SPIRIT communication ethically , with out causing harm AND to inspire sitters to tap into their own abilities. A practitioner should never encourage or create or a dependency with a sitter. Even if you believe in this work , you should always go in with a skeptical ( not cynical ) mind. That is the way you can remain protected.
If you walked away with the validation from a Medium that your son is still with you , then my hope for you is that you will go on your own journey to continue the conversation with him.
In other-words, a Medium should open the pathway of communication to your son by providing evidence and message that show you spirit communication is possible , your job after that is to walk away from that session widening the pathway for yourself by continuing communication with him.
One way to do that is to honor the messages you feel, hear and see from your son that happen with in you. Do not question them. Then try to ask him to validate those feeling by having him show you physical proof.
Again , I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that you can take the evidence that you received from your son during your readings with the mediums you saw and let it be a stepping stone for you to create your own pathway for communication to your loved ones on the otherside.

I firmly believe that we go to a better place free of hate, jealousy and ....struggle. One question to ask is why do we have to go through difficult times here, like losing people in the physical.
Anytime we have a hurdle in our life, I feel that is the very thing that is preparing us for that place called the otherside, the unseen world or heaven. I sense that you have this lesson to help you in your life’s work.

Thank you for your question. The picture you see here is of my rescued cat Addie. She is one of my babies and I love her so much. So, I understand your love of animals and their ability to connect to us. I strongly believe that our pets are a part of our soul group. They do survival physical death and they do pass on to the same place we do.
I do not believe that animals can reincarnate as a human form, in other words, animals reincarnate within the animal soul group and human within human soul groups. So, If you happen to think your new puppy is acting a lot like your late uncle Fred, ( yes, clients have mentioned this to me), I would like you to consider another possibility. I believe our relatives on the otherside can play with our living animal’s energy to get our attention. So, if you see fido acting strangely, it could be that your very psychic animal is just taking cues from your loved ones on the otherside. It also could mean that your living animals are picking up on the fact that your loved ones on the otherside are around you.
Animals are very in-tune to psychic and mediumistic energy. Animals are not locked in or boxed in by a verbal language. They can communicate telepathically and can see and hear energy with different vibrations, and I believe, in different dimensions. I also feel animals can pick up on our thoughts and feelings. When I do sessions in my home, My cat Leo will always seem to come into the room when my clients get emotional. He will jump on the couch and want to curl up on my client’s lap. On a personal note, my cats will react to my feelings when I am sad or reflective. They seem to comfort me just when I need it.
Try this with your living animals. I do this with my cats and it works. When you are just waking up, stay still in your bed and picture your cat or dog in your mind's eye. Then give a thought that you want them to come into the bedroom. You will be surprised how many times your animal responds by coming in the room! The reason why I suggest doing it right when you wake up is that I feel most people are the most relaxed first thing in the morning and are not carrying the thoughts or feelings from other people. Just as a side note for those of you who have non affectionate animals, I will bet you will find that they are more affectionate in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning. I feel this isn’t because of your animal’s energy being different but it is more because OUR energy is different. Most of us do not realize how we attract energy of others that our pets can pick up on! Our animals are sensitive to that!
I am not sure how animals see energy. But it could be that they are reacting to our auric field. The more relaxed and open we are toward our animals the more they can connect and understand us.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your brother. Please know that your brother knows how much you love him. The grieving process is one that takes a lot of time.
I feel that your brother and you can continue a relationship even though his physical being is gone.
I feel when we cross over, we gain the knowledge of why we went through all the difficult lessons and troubled times in our lives. I feel we go through these issues to develop and grow our spirit.
I want you to know that your brother’s pain has been lifted off his back and heart. He is enlightened. He has gained an understanding of why he went through what he went through.
He sounds like he lived the life of a teaching soul.

I feel everyone has psychic ability. So, know that you have it. What you want to do with it is you personal choice.
Your experience could have fallen under a few catagories.
1) You had a premonition about the passing.
2) Your loved one could have been sending you a telepathic message before they crossed over- that they were passing
3) Empathic message - You could have been picking up the emotions of your family members as they received the news your loved one passed
4) Mediumistic -Your loved on could have sent you a message just as they passed that they are ok.
These are 4 distinct possibilities.
I feel everyone has the ability to experience this. It could mean that you are just more in-tune and sensitive to that energy.
How you proceed with your abilities is a broad question.
If you are asking if you should become a professional psychic or psychic medium because you have had metaphysical experiences-that is only an question you can answer. My advice would be only to do the work if your main reason is to help people.

Many years ago my cousin passed we were in our early
thirties. I was very upset because he suffered so but he told his Dad he
was ready to go and it was a beautiful place.
When we were coming back from the funeral home my Uncle was driving my
cousins car and his license number popped out to me and I went and
played the daily number which I never had before and the next day the
number came up and I won not much but I won and I felt maybe it was
confirmation from him I am ok. Do you think it was possible or just coincidence.

I do believe that you have received a sign from your cousin.
I can understand how and why you would question something so simple as a lottery ticket paying off being a sign . But I do feel that is how the otherside would reach us.
You may find it interesting that my Mom did the very same thing after she crossed over.
My dad felt the "pull" to play the numbers 644. My mom's bday was 6-4-44 she also passed away on 4/6
He did this the day she died. He was tired and in the store , and as he recounted to me later on, he heard my mom's voice teasing him that he should play the daily number. It was a discussion that would always have because my dad only played the "bigger games" that paid more money
Well the ticket ended up paying 500 dollars!
So yes it is a sign. They will find way to tie in things that were once connected to you and them when they were physically
here.

I am sorry for the long answer. Understanding my connection to spirit guides is a personal passion of mine. I am very overwhelmed by my guides and the help they send me.....For that I am so grateful. Some , like yourself, have the wish to know your guides name and connect with them. I think we focus so hard on what our guides names are that we might miss the energy and guidance that they are sending us......
Names are how we identify ourselves on this earth plane...right??
That is how we ID our selves in the Physical world. The "otherside " isn’t physical. Our guides aren’t physical. They are spiritual and pure energy.
When we try to grasp connecting to the otherside our tendency is to try to reason it out in physical terms...
I.e.
“If I know my guide's name then that MUST MEAN I am connecting”
Well ...Not necessarily.
Knowing a guide’s name is possible but not the only way to connect.
I feel that you are already connecting to your guides....through the unseen energy around you. I feel that they are still working with you even if you don't know who they are!
How many times have you listened to your inner compass and trusted it??
I feel our guides connect to us that way....but us being Physical we want to see it in a Physical way ...like in knowing a name
I feel knowing your guide’s name isn’t the goal ..the prize is the journey you take along way. They will teach you how to connect to them.
Your Guides will reveal their name in a way to help you grow your connection to them . They will do it in a way so you will understand their energy.
I feel they eventually do this because they feel how important it is to US that WE need to know their name..but as usual... our guides make it a learning experience. That is why they are there ...to teach us....and help us learn more about our spiritual journey.
I personally don’t think our guides really care if we know their names.....More so that we just that we know they are there.

I had a student ask me to tell them their guides name....well she more like begged me.....
I told her I couldn’t do it..
She nearly fell out of her seat with disappointment And actually got angry with me.
I told her that I felt that it wasn’t my place...If I told her guides name, I would cheat her out of the learning process of understanding HOW to connect with her own guides.
Just as a side note ...I don’t feel that her guides would tell me....
It’s like being out to dinner with someone and your date ( or guide) ignores you, turns to the waiter( the medium) and gives them your life story..
Kind of impersonal right.... It’s silly analogy, I know...but I hope you get my drift...
Why would your guides connect to me personally before they would connect to you?
A medium is not any higher on the totem pole with energy work when it come to connecting to your guides...
You are psychic and an energy person...your journey and learning experience is much more important to your guides than them giving their name to a medium or even to you ...
So be protective of your psychic being if a psychic medium claims to know your guides name...Whether the medium is right or wrong isn’t my beef...My concern is that Medium cheated you out the experience of connecting to your own guide!
Sorry I got off topic a little....
But I did give the student some suggestions on meditation and asking questions to her guides. In time, they did reveal their name but she was more impressed with the signs they sent confirming they were around and helping her.....the name after awhile was an after thought.
She understood it wasn’t their name that was the big deal. It was the journey of UNDERSTANDING THE ENERGY WORLD...
Guides don’t give us the answer....They guide us.
On the subject of prayer....I personally feel prayer is very important
I feel when you pray , you raise your vibrational energy.
ENERGY is how you connect with the otherside... isnt it. :)
Intention in prayer is key. Your intention has been to know your guides name. .Maybe you could try a different intention when you pray.
Ask you guides for a sign..A song or object. Maybe ask them to assist you in a dilemma and when help comes more easily or situation that comes you way gets solved in a unique way...Thank your guides.

I recently visited the Seminole Hard Rock
Cafe in Florida and had a vendor read my tarot cards. She made some very
accurate statements. Towards the end of the reading she told me someone
put a curse on either me or another woman in my family and the whole
family is cursed. She then said I should make an appointment with her for
an aura cleansing to lift the curse. Of course I thought this was a
scam; but because of her accurate statements I am concerned. If possible
please advise.

I am so saddened to hear when a Metaphysical practitioner uses this work for the wrong reasons or they are terribly misinformed. More sorry to hear that you are a victim of this. I am sorry to inform you that you have been scammed. Cursing is a technique that scam artist use to get more money from you.
An ethical pratitioner will always maintain your free will. Free will is a God given gift that gives us the ability to make choices. If we did not have free will we wouldn't be able to make choices to to learn lessons. Free will is something that is empowers us. It helps us make the decisions so we CAN direct our furture. No psychic should ever take that way.
When a scam artist says you have a curse they are taking your free will away.
How?
Well if you feel bad energy or had a series of unfortunate events occur in your live you CAN use your free will (make the choices) to get your self out of them!
My Mom called this "The adventure of life!" That is.... learning lessons and growing from them!
I feel that is why we are here, to learn lessons.
A psychic's job is to empower you with that knowledge. Not take it away. A psychic doesn't have that kind of power that they CAN remove a curse.
Frankly,I feel that is a huge ego talking when a psychic claims they have the power to change your life by removing a curse! (if there were such a thing as a curse!)

The saddest thing is that this Psychic you saw was accurate. How terrible that she used another scamming technique called luring to make you pay more money for another service.
