About
Day 2 – Purpose as a Bridge One way to feel closer to a loved one — and to continue developing your spiritual muscle — is to sit quietly with them. Remember, they are found in the quiet, not in the noisiness of grief. Each person carries certain spiritual qualities — patience, humor, kindness, strength, compassion. These qualities do not disappear when someone passes. They continue through us. When we choose, we can strengthen our own spiritual muscle by recognizing our spiritual qualities and allowing them to guide us into connection. When we recognize a loved one’s purpose or spiritual nature and live it in our own lives, we create a bridge. If your loved one carried patience, and you choose patience, you are meeting them in the same spiritual space they once occupied. In the same way, when we live from our own spiritual purpose, we move out of the noise of grief and into the quiet of the spirit. That alignment allows connection to feel more natural and less forced. This isn’t about trying harder. It’s about being. Connection often deepens when we live the love they showed us.
